Mobilising Exeter’s Community Enterprising Spirit

Wednesday, 11th November, 2020
7pm – 8.30pm
Online, book your seat HERE

An Event Series with heart-warming examples of local entrepreneurship that benefit the community and environment.

Get inspired and be part of a growing group of passionate individuals wanting to see Exeter as a thriving place with well-knitted communities including all people whilst restoring our natural environment. Sign up HERE.

The theme of this first event is food. Think #verticalfarming, #urbangrowing, tackling #foodpoverty and #foodinsecurity drawing in from expertise on Asset Based Community Development with Dawn Rivers (Exeter City Council) and innovative business models such as ESSENCE member Urban Mushroom Company.

This event is a ‘Contribute-What-You-Can-event’: participants are asked to bring their best to the conversation, and willingness to explore how they can be part of the creative and socially entrepreneurial solutions needed to tackle the issues our communities are facing. On top of that you can choose to pay for a seat so that we can continue these series in months to come.

This event series has come out of a joint position statement between ESSENCE, Colab Exeter and Exeter Community Initiatives. The event will be hosted by Nic Eversett (Canopy Coaching) and Daphne van Run (ESSENCE) and it is made possible with funding received from the Connect Fund of Barrow Cadbury Trust through the SIMPL partnership.
