Somerset Film is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through film and digital technology. We give people in Somerset and beyond a voice, provide access to equipment and expertise, encourage creativity and production, develop media literacy and digital skills, and much more. Our activities our supported through our services which include film production, training, community engagement and consultation, AV equipment hire and meeting and conference space hire at our base, The Engine Room – a community media centre in the centre of Bridgwater.

Q I want to commission a film - how much will it cost?

Somerset Film has twenty plus years experience in film and digital media production. The cost will vary according to the needs of the film - number of crew, locations etc - and what it is you are trying to achieve. If you don't have a brief for your film then we can help you to write one. Visit our website to download our free guide to writing a film brief - your answers to the questions it includes will inform a quote and will help the producer identify the number of days filming needed.

An truly inspiring evening spent with Phil Shepherd at the Enhance Somerset Social Enterprise Network event at Engine Room, Bridgwater. Great to see the breadth of work, support and opportunities you have given communities and individuals across Somerset over so many years. We loved the preview of one of your latest award-winning films for the Ups and Downs charity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMU_EfG9rs0 . We are looking forward to the film that you are making with Somerset Community Foundation to showcase the social enterprises that they have funded/provided loans to.
